Prof. Dr. Watcharin Loylachom, Director of the Institute, in collaboration with the Nong Khai Provincial Public Health Office, Somdej Phra Yuparat Thabho Hospital, and the Thabho District Public Health Office, organized the \u201cThabho District Cholangiocarcinoma Screening Fair, Nong Khai Province.\u201d The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Phaitoon Mahachuenjai, Deputy Governor of Nong Khai Province, who presided over the opening ceremony. Dr. Surapong Padungwiang, Provincial Public Health Officer of Nong Khai, gave a report and welcoming speech, while Mr. Somkuan Jaisue, District Chief of Thabho, delivered the welcoming remarks. The event took place at Thabho School, Thabho District, Nong Khai Province.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">This activity stems from the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute's project, \"Action Research to Address Liver Fluke and Cholangiocarcinoma Problems in Health Regions 7, 8, 9, and 10,\" conducted in fiscal years 2025-2026. This project aims to develop a comprehensive public health system encompassing the prevention, screening, diagnosis, and treatment of liver fluke disease and cholangiocarcinoma, including public awareness campaigns, wastewater treatment system development, and food safety initiatives. The ultimate goal is to disrupt the liver fluke life cycle. Nong Khai province is a key target area, with implementation planned across all districts. Therefore, a screening campaign was organized to raise public awareness of the disease and increase access to screening services for at-risk populations. Five such campaigns have already been conducted in four districts: Sangkhom, Phon Phisai, Fao Rai, and Rattanawapi. Since October 2025, this has been the 6th screening program. A total of 2,223 people in Tha Bo have received the service. 24 people (1.08%) were suspected of having bile duct cancer. In addition, 113 people were found to have other diseases requiring treatment and have been referred for confirmation of diagnosis and
