A meeting was held to discuss collaborative development and improvement of the rapid liver fluke diagnostic kit (OV-ATK), promote its utilization, and explore partnerships with the administrators of Khon Kaen University.

On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, Khon Kaen University, represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Watcharin Loylom, Acting Director of the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University; Prof. Dr. Paiboon Sitthithavorn, Advisor; Asst. Prof. Dr. Attapol Titapan, Member of the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute and Head of the Cholangiocarcinoma Center of Excellence, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University; Dr. Aporn Wangwiwatsin, Member of the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute; and Dr. Paramet Klanrit, Member of the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, held a meeting.
We welcomed a delegation from the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), led by Dr. Somboon Sahasitthiwat, Deputy Director of NSTDA; Ms. Sansanee Huabsomboon, Deputy Director of the National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC) and Acting Director of the Technology Business Entrepreneurship Development Division, NSTDA; Professor Dr. Siwaporn Meejoo Smith, Deputy Director of the National Nanotechnology Center, Research Division (NANOTEC); Dr. Duangpen Japrung, Driver of S&T implementation for Sustainable Thailand, the rapid test kit innovation of NSTDA, and Driver of the Healthy Kit program (NANOTEC); and Dr. Wanilda Rungrasmi, Director of the Diagnostic and Biologics Discovery Technology Research Group (IBIG) of BIOTEC. The meeting discussed collaborative development and improvement of the rapid liver fluke test kit (OV-ATK), promoting its utilization, and exploring cooperation with the executives of Khon Kaen University.
In the afternoon, we visited the Center of Excellence for Cholangiocarcinoma at Srinakarin Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, and also toured the ELISA (OV) laboratory and the CASCAP laboratory.
