Workshop on Driving the Implementation of Operational Funds from Sub-district Health Insurance Funds, Sakon Nakhon Province.

On March 4, 2025, the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, Khon Kaen University, in collaboration with the Sakon Nakhon Provincial Public Health Office and the Disease Control and Prevention Office Region 8, Udon Thani, organized a workshop to promote funding for the liver fluke and cholangiocarcinoma screening project from the National Health Security Fund in Sakon Nakhon Province. Mr. Veerarat Theeramitr, Deputy Governor of Sakon Nakhon Province, presided over the opening ceremony.
This training included a lecture on the situation and approaches to eliminating liver fluke disease and cholangiocarcinoma, presented by Mr. Boonthien Asarin, Senior Public Health Specialist, Office of Disease Prevention and Control Region 8, Udon Thani.

Training on entering at-risk group data for screening via the Line Liff system, led by Dr. Chaiwat Thawarungruang, programmer at the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, and practical training on using the OV ATK ready-to-use liver fluke diagnostic kit (divided into small groups for practical training).
