On March 26, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wacharin Loylom, Director of the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, explained the approach to solving the problems of liver fluke disease and cholangiocarcinoma to local government administrators in Khon Kaen Province during the 3rd monthly meeting of 2025. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Kraisorn Kongchalad, Governor of Khon Kaen Province, and held at the Kaen Mueang Meeting Room, Khon Kaen Provincial Hall.
Simultaneously, the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute provided liver fluke screening services using the rapid OV-ATK kit to conference attendees. 83 individuals received the service, and 7 were found to be infected with liver flukes, representing 8.43%, who have since received treatment.
