On April 10, 2025, the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, in collaboration with the Ban Phue Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Phon Phisai District, Nong Khai Province, provided liver fluke screening services using the rapid OV-ATK test kit to the elderly as part of the 2025 project to enhance the wisdom of the elderly. Mr. Natthapong Chanaphan, Mayor of Ban Phue Subdistrict Administrative Organization, presided over the opening ceremony. 240 individuals received screening, with 108 found to be infected with liver fluke, representing 45%, who have already received treatment. Staff from Wattana Health Lab, a medical technology clinic, also assisted in the screening process.
