"The Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute discussed proactive liver fluke screening approaches with the Innovation Unit and partner networks in Health Region 7."
On April 22, 2025, the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wacharin Loylom, Director of the Institute, in collaboration with the National Health Security Office (NHSO) Region 7 Khon Kaen, organized a "Meeting on Proactive Liver Fluke Screening Guidelines for High-Risk Populations: Innovation Units and NHSO Network." The purpose was to discuss proactive liver fluke screening guidelines in Health Region 7 with innovation units and related agencies. Representatives from the NHSO Region 7 Khon Kaen, the Office of Disease Prevention and Control Region 7 Khon Kaen, the Consumer Protection and Pharmacy Group (CPG) and the Non-Communicable Disease Control Group of the Provincial Public Health Offices of Khon Kaen, Roi Et, Maha Sarakham, and Kalasin, as well as representatives from innovation units in Health Region 7, totaling over 30 participants, attended the meeting at the Phummarin Meeting Room, Rachawadee Resort and Hotel, Khon Kaen Province.
