"The Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, in collaboration with the Khon Kaen Provincial Health Office, organized a refresher and capacity-building meeting for teachers in Khon Kaen to support the implementation of the OV-CCA curriculum in schools."

On April 23, 2025, the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wacharin Loylom, Director of the Institute, in collaboration with the Khon Kaen Provincial Public Health Office, organized a workshop to refresh and develop the capacity of teachers in teaching about liver fluke disease and cholangiocarcinoma in Khon Kaen Province. Ms. Waraporn Chookhunhom, Head of the Communicable Disease Control Group, Khon Kaen Provincial Public Health Office, presided over the opening ceremony at the Grand Pavilion Meeting Room, Rachawadee Resort and Hotel, Khon Kaen Province.
This meeting was held to disseminate and review guidelines for implementing the liver fluke disease and cholangiocarcinoma immunization curriculum in schools across four levels: preschool, primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary. Over 130 teachers from Khon Kaen province participated. Experts from the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University (regarding the implementation of the liver fluke disease and cholangiocarcinoma curriculum in schools), the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, the Office of Disease Prevention and Control Region 7, Khon Kaen, and the Khon Kaen Provincial Public Health Office served as speakers.
