This meeting was held to disseminate information on the use of registration, data recording, and tracking tools for at-risk groups for liver fluke disease and cholangiocarcinoma via the LINE LIFF application and the Isan cohort system. It also clarified the registration plan for at-risk groups to those responsible from the Maha Sarakham Provincial Public Health Office, Maha Sarakham Provincial Administrative Organization, community hospitals, district public health offices, sub-district health promotion hospitals, and representatives of village health volunteers (VHVs) covering 12 districts in Maha Sarakham province (excluding Kut Rang district, where another meeting will be held on May 15, 16, and 19, 2025), totaling over 500 people.
In addition, the institute also provided liver fluke screening services using the OV ATK rapid test kit to conference attendees. A total of 246 people received the service, and 101 were found to be infected with liver flukes, representing 41.06%, who subsequently received treatment.
