On May 21, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wacharin Loylom, Director of the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, discussed the “Action Plan for Addressing Liver Fluke and Cholangiocarcinoma Problems” in Health Region 8. At 1:00 PM, he met with Dr. Natthapong Wongwiwat, Inspector-General of the Ministry of Public Health, Health Region 8. Also present were Dr. Boonsiri Jansirimongkol, Public Health Supervisor, Health Region 8; Dr. Saman Futrakul, Director of the Office of Disease Prevention and Control Region 8, Udon Thani; and executives from Health Region 8, the Office of Disease Prevention and Control Region 8, Udon Thani, as well as representatives from academic centers, provincial public health offices, and general/central hospitals in Health Region 8. The meeting took place at the Mongkut Isan Meeting Room, Office of Disease Prevention and Control Region 8, Udon Thani.
Then, at 2:30 PM, a meeting was held with Dr. Nopparat Phanthuset, Director of the National Health Security Office, Region 8, Udon Thani, to discuss the "Action Plan for Addressing Liver Fluke and Cholangiocarcinoma Problems" in Health Region 8. Ms. Yurisa Saenhoom, Director of the Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Bueng Kan, and Nong Khai Provincial Group, and Ms. Wiparat Siriphonlai, Health Security Administrator, also participated in the discussion at the meeting room of the National Health Security Office, Region 8, Udon Thani.
