The Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute continues its efforts, organizing training on registering high-risk groups using LINE LIFF to enhance the capabilities of village health volunteers in Kalasin for proactive screening.

On May 29, 2025, the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wacharin Loylom, Director of the Institute, in collaboration with the Disease Control and Prevention Office Region 7, Khon Kaen Province, and the Provincial Public Health Office, organized a workshop on the use of verbal screening tools and knowledge about liver fluke disease and cholangiocarcinoma.
The meeting was honored by the presence of Dr. Taweerat Srikulwong, Provincial Public Health Officer of Kalasin Province, who presided over the opening ceremony, and Ms. Nongnuch Nonsrichai, Senior Public Health Specialist of Kalasin Province, who delivered the report, along with distinguished guests, at the Manmekha Meeting Room, 3rd floor, Administration Building, Yang Talat Hospital, Yang Talat District, Kalasin Province.
This meeting was held to disseminate information on the use of registration, data recording, and tracking tools for at-risk groups for liver fluke disease and cholangiocarcinoma using the LINE LIFF Application and the Isan cohort system. It also included a briefing on the operational plan for those responsible from the Kalasin Provincial Public Health Office, community hospitals, district public health offices, sub-district health promotion hospitals, and representatives of village health volunteers (VHVs) from all 20 districts of Kalasin Province. Over 250 people participated in the training.
In addition, the institute also provided liver fluke screening services using the OV ATK rapid test kit to conference attendees. Of the 125 people who used the OVATK kit to self-screen for liver fluke infection, 24 were found to be infected, representing 19.2%, and received treatment.
