On July 25, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wacharin Loylom, Director of the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, gave a lecture on liver fluke disease and cholangiocarcinoma to a group of 120 people infected with liver fluke disease in Nam Phong District. The aim was to create a correct understanding of the disease, raise awareness, and lead to behavioral changes in health, particularly regarding dietary choices and avoiding raw fish. This took place during a workshop on behavioral modification for preventing liver fluke infection, organized by the Communicable Disease Control Unit, Khon Kaen Provincial Public Health Office, under the project to prevent and control liver fluke disease in high-prevalence areas of Khon Kaen Province, fiscal year 2025. Dr. Uros Singngam, Director of Nam Phong Hospital, presided over the opening ceremony at the Luang Pho Sai Thong Meeting Room, 6th floor, Sirithammathorn Building, Nam Phong Hospital, Khon Kaen Province.
