On August 13, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wacharin Loylom, Director of the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, gave a lecture on liver fluke disease and cholangiocarcinoma to community leaders, village health volunteers (VHVs), and public health personnel in Non Sa-at Subdistrict. This was part of a planning meeting for liver fluke screening, funded by the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute and the National Health Security Office (NHSO), held at the Non Sa-at Subdistrict Health Promotion Hospital, Nong Ruea District, Khon Kaen Province. Following the lecture, a verbal screening of at-risk groups will be completed by September. The findings will then be used to create a risk map and plan further liver fluke screening.
