The Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, in collaboration with Singha Volunteer, conducted proactive screening.

On December 25, 2025, the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, the Cholangiocarcinoma Center of Excellence at Srinakarin Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, and the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, together with Singha Volunteer (by the Phraya Bhirombhakdi Foundation), Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd., and
Khon Kaen Brewery Co., Ltd., a subsidiary company, conducted the "Singha Volunteer Mobile Medical Unit" activity at Nakhon Khon Kaen Technical College, Tha Phra Subdistrict, Mueang Khon Kaen District, Khon Kaen Province.
We were honored to have Mr. Pongsawat Phanomai, Managing Director of Khon Kaen Brewery Co., Ltd., as the chairman to open this event.
Mr. Surachai Maikami, Director of Nakhon Khon Kaen Technical College, gave a welcoming speech, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wacharin Loylom, Director of the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, spoke about the collaboration.
During this event, 96 residents from Tha Phra Subdistrict, Mueang District, Khon Kaen Province, received urine tests using the rapid liver fluke detection kit (OVATK). 18 individuals (18.8%) were found to be infected with liver flukes. Additionally, 97 individuals underwent ultrasound examinations. Three individuals (3.09%) were identified as being at risk of cholangiocarcinoma (Suspected CCA), while 5 individuals were referred for other reasons.
