Visiting and observing the progress of the action research project to address liver fluke disease and cholangiocarcinoma in Health Regions 7, 8, 9, and 10, at the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, Khon Kaen University.
On Monday, February 9, 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wacharin Loylom, Director of the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, Khon Kaen University, welcomed a delegation from the Health Systems Research Institute (HSRI), led by Dr. Supakit Sirilak, Director of HSRI, Dr. Sura Wisesak, Deputy Director of HSRI, and Dr. Thongchai Keeratihatthayakorn, an expert in research on reducing mortality from cholangiocarcinoma and liver fluke disease. The delegation visited the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute to observe its operations and the implementation of an action research project to address liver fluke disease and cholangiocarcinoma in Health Regions 7, 8, 9, and 10.
At 11:30 AM, we visited the Center of Excellence for Cholangiocarcinoma, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University. We were welcomed by Assistant Professor Dr. Atthaphol Titapan, Head of the Center of Excellence for Cholangiocarcinoma, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University.
