The "Singha Volunteer Community Health" screening event for liver fluke disease and bile duct cancer.

The Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, Khon Kaen University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Watcharin Loylom, Director of the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, Khon Kaen University, the Center of Excellence in Cholangiocarcinoma at Srinakarin Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, and the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, in collaboration with Singha Volunteer (by the Phraya Bhirombhakdi Foundation), Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd., and Mahasarakham Beverage Co., Ltd., a subsidiary company, organized the "Singha Volunteer Community Health" screening event for liver fluke disease and cholangiocarcinoma on February 20, 2026, at Mahasarakham Beverage Co., Ltd., Kudrang District, Mahasarakham Province.
The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Chanchai Sapmanthongtawee, Managing Director of Mahasarakham Beverage Co., Ltd., who presided over the opening ceremony.
This activity provided services to the public in Kudrang District, Maha Sarakham Province. Over 223 people participated in the screening. Screening for liver fluke infection using the OVATK rapid urine test kit revealed 25 individuals (11.2%) were infected. Screening for bile duct cancer using ultrasound revealed suspected bile duct cancer in 3 individuals (1.32%). 5 individuals were referred for other reasons, such as gallstones, renal edema, unexplained hepatomegaly, and intestinal obstruction due to gallstones.
