On April 7, 2026, the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wacharin Loylom, Director of the Institute, organized a workshop on “Effective Management of Proactive Liver Fluke Screening Units in Health Region 8” to clarify guidelines for managing screening units and discuss plans for liver fluke screening in Health Region 8. Participants included representatives from relevant agencies such as the Disease Control and Prevention Office Region 8, Udon Thani Province; the National Health Security Office Region 8, Udon Thani; the Nong Khai Provincial Public Health Office; OV Biotech Co., Ltd.; and various medical technology innovation units including Wattana Health Co., Ltd., Witthaya Clinical Lab, Ruam Lab, Wellness Care Clinic, Bueng Kan, and MDT Lab Northeast, Khon Kaen. Over 25 people attended the meeting at The Pannarai Hotel, Mueang District, Udon Thani Province.
