The Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute conducted its third mobile cholangiocarcinoma screening unit in Kudrang District, serving over 4,000 individuals.

From January 7-10, 2024, the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, in collaboration with the Maha Sarakham Provincial Public Health Office, the Kudrang District Quality of Life Committee, Kudrang Hospital, and the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, organized the 3rd Cholangiocarcinoma Ultrasound Screening Unit in Kudrang District, Maha Sarakham Province, as part of the "Model District for Addressing Liver Fluke Disease and Cholangiocarcinoma" initiative. The screening took place at Ban Kudrang School, Kudrang District, Maha Sarakham Province.
This bile duct cancer ultrasound screening unit is a continuation of the first two screenings held in November and December 2024. A total of 4,889 individuals were screened over the three sessions. 144 cases (2.95%) were suspected of having bile duct cancer, and 263 other cases were found to have other conditions. These patients have been referred for confirmatory diagnosis and treatment. The institute and Kudrang Hospital will continue to monitor their treatment progress.
