"The Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, provides community services for OV-CCA screening in Tha Kraserm Subdistrict, Nam Phong District, Khon Kaen Province."

On May 9, 2025, the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute, in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, conducted a community service outreach program to screen for liver fluke infection and cholangiocarcinoma in Tha Kraserm Subdistrict, under the “Volunteer Camp for Society 2025” project. The event took place at Ban Tha Kraserm School, Nam Phong District, Khon Kaen Province. 232 people received liver fluke screening, with 107 found to be infected (46.12%), who were subsequently treated. Additionally, 302 people underwent cholangiocarcinoma screening via ultrasound. Five individuals (1.66%) were suspected of having cholangiocarcinoma and were referred for confirmatory diagnosis and treatment.

In addition, other health check-up services are available, such as for diabetes and hypertension, along with education on various diseases, especially liver fluke disease, bile duct cancer, and heatstroke, covering its symptoms, causes, prevention, and treatment, provided by medical students.
